My Daily Updates Week 1 Posts Beginning Friday, March 27 Friday, March 27 — GP Call and A&E Today started normally enough. I had arranged a health check with the GP early in the morning so I could still go into the office afterwards. They did blood tests and checked my vitals before I headed to Manchester for the work day. I spent the whole day in the office as normal. Later on, while I was still in Manchester, my wife called me saying the doctor was urgently trying to get hold of me and that I needed to answer the phone or call them back immediately. I walked back to the car park and called the GP from the car. They told me I needed to get to A&E as soon as possible because my blood results were showing extremely severe anaemia. They said I should go to the nearest hospital immediately.
